About Perry Westbrook

With 20 years of experience as a periodontist, Dr. Perry Westbrook currently runs his own practice in Sunnyvale, California. A member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Dental Association, Dr. Perry Westbrook earned a Master of Science in Dentistry and a certificate in periodontics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Perry Westbrook was the only one in his class to pass the periodontology board examination on his first attempt.

As an undergraduate, Dr. Perry Westbrook held membership in the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity and remained active with the volleyball team and ski club. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1984. While attending Washington University in St. Louis, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine, Dr. Westbrook was awarded the National Editor of the Year Award from the Xi Psi Phi dental fraternity. He then completed the General Practice Residency Certificate Program at the University of Rochester in New York.

Dr. Perry Westbrook keeps current in his field by undertaking postdoctoral residencies in implant and restorative surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, along with specialty training courses at the University of California, San Francisco, and Louisiana State University. In addition, Dr. Westbrook has completed courses in advanced dentistry at the Kois Post-Doctoral Center in Seattle, Washington, including courses in esthetic and occlusion diagnosis, making him the only Kois Center Recognized Periodontist Specialist in Silicon Valley. In his spare time, Dr. Perry Westbrook enjoys kayaking, hiking, and photography. He is the father of twin girls.
